27 And 28 February 2015 Story Time With Tale of Us
Win a set of double tickets to experience Tale of Us live in Johannesburg on the 27 of February
Tale of Us are Berlin-based DJ and production partnership Karm and Matteo who are currently re-writing the rulebook for deeply moving, emotional electronic music.
Together they share a sonic vision that pulls together elements of house and techno with influences from pop, nu-disco and even rock music.
While all of their productions are instantly recognisable as Tale Of Us, these range from straight-up dance floor jams to low-slung ambient tracks and more abstract compositions.
While both originally hail from North America, Karm was born in Toronto and Matteo in New York, they moved to Italy as children, which is where they met and formed the close working bond that they now share.
All good music should tell a story.
Tales of experience.
Tales of joy.
Tales of love lost and won.
A Tale of Us.

They are considered one of the hottest duos in the electronic music scene right now, Mateo and Karm, aka TALE OF US, perform for the first time in South Africa and Africa as part of a fundraiser tour, in partnership with Bridges for Music.
TALE OF US will perform for free at two fundraising shows one in partnership with TOY TOY (Johannesburg – AND club - 27th Feb) and KINKY DISCO (Cape Town - Venue TBA – 28th Feb). The aim is to support Bridges for Music’s educational projects in townships like Langa (Cape Town), where the NPO is raising funds to build a creative school for underprivileged talent to flourish. Every ticket purchased goes towards making this dream a reality.
The duo has played at the top festivals around the world during the last year, making them currently one of the most in-demand. Proof of this is their recent Essential Mix on the world’s most respected radio program, BBC RADIO 1, hosted by Pete Tong.
TALE OF US will be supported by a stellar line-up of local artists including Trancemicsoul, Jazzuelle, Deep Aztec,AudioJerk, Cabin Crew, Dogstar, Fabio, Killer Robot, Thibo Tazz and Black Book, all performing at both events.
Beyond the fundraising tour, a new free workshop will be announced in the townships of Langa in an attempt to bring people from different communities together through the universal language of music. TALE OF US wants to engage in the local scene and inspire others through these conversations about music and life.
Following this past weekend’s tour with Loco Dice, Bridges for Music tours some of the hottest international artists in a pioneering way with the goal to positively impact underprivileged communities in South Africa. After Resident Advisor secured the core funding to build this school, the aim of these tours is to secure the funds to sustain the Langa School during its first years and offer sponsored studies to young upcoming artists.
