MK (Marc Kinchen) has been responsible for some of the defining sounds and biggest tracks of early house, as well as its rebirth that the world is currently embracing. He’s worked with artists ranging from Snoop and Jay-Z to Rihanna, Beyonce and Pitbull, and yet he has retained near unprecedented levels of credibility within the underground dance music scene, having produced such timeless gems as "Burning," "4 You" and "Push The Feeling On.” These songs along with his infamous remixes are part of the DNA of house music and runs in DJ’s blood the world over. In just the past 18 months we have heard his latest remixes of Lana Del Rey, Haim, Rudimental, Disclosure, Hot Natured, Sam Smith, Duke Dumont, Angel Haze, and Dillon, as well as his solo projects on Defected and his Pleasure State project on Hot Creations. MK has long been respected for taking ordinary pop records and turning them into dance/house classics, and this was further proved when his third version of Storm Queen's "Look Right Through" hit #1 and his second version of “My Head Is A Jungle” reached #4 in the UK charts this past November.
Over the last year, MK has been relaunching his Area 10 label with new releases as well as branded stages and events. Expect upcoming collaborations and releases from Lee Foss, Shadowchild, DJ SKT, and 4th Measurement.
UK house icon Duke Dumont is slated to be the next big crossover act of 2015 after an incredible run in 2014. Off the back of his second Grammy nomination for "I Got U" with Jax Jones, which charted at #1 in the UK and was also nominated for two Brit Awards, and his 2013 nomination for "Need U (100%)”, Duke Dumont will release his debut studio album via Blasé Boys Club / Astralwerks. Mentored by producer Switch early in his career, Duke Dumont made his name as the “go-to” man for pop remakes (Lily Allen and Bat For Lashes were notable clients). In 2012 Duke Dumont released two EPs on Tiga’s label Turbo Recordings, which received support from the likes of Jamie Jones and Simian Mobile Disco. Remixes for AlunaGeorge, Haim and Santigold quickly followed to much acclaim. With a full album due this year on Astralwerks and "I Got U" reaching over 100 million views on YouTube, Duke Dumont is poised for his strongest year yet.
Duke Dumont's imprint label Blasé Boys Club, rooted in the weekly club night in Ibiza of the same name started by Dumont and friends, is his newest venture to give upcoming artists a platform to release original material. Through the brand, Duke has championed house music through releases such as Kiwi and bookings with Jonas Rathsman. His forthcoming debut album will also be called Blasé Boys Club and the label will be continuing with more frequent releases from Kiwi and others.
Joining MK, Duke and Jonas for this incredible night is the man that is known as the Godfather of Detroit Techno and one of the founders of the Detroit Movement Festival, Kevin Saunderson.
