In the second of a series of exciting announcements, The Glitch Mob can reveal that they will be heading over to Coachella for a second time in April, followed immediately by the second leg of their US tour which continues over into Europe throughout May.
The trio will end their epic journey at The Governers Ball Music Festival, NY in June.
Picking up speed around the release of their brand new album 'Love, Death, Immortality', The Glitch Mob will spend 3 whole months on the road covering all corners of the US; playing alongside musical heavyweights such as OutKast, Muse and Arcade Fire at Coachella, before hitting up nearly every major city in Europe with a special stop off at London's prestigious venue Koko.
Together Ed Ma (aka edIT), Justin Boreta (aka Boreta) and Joshua Mayer (aka Ooah), have worked tirelessly to create a truly spectacular live show to take on the road. Accompanied by Martin Phillips of Bionic League – who’s developed staggering concert visuals for the likes of Daft Punk, Kanye West, and Deadmau5 – expect the Mob to dominate festivals and large venues well throughout the year.
“We’re taking a more hands-on approach to the live show this time around,” says Ma. “The whole experience is going to be personally curated by us. We’re designing really cool video-interaction apps to integrate the experience, really letting the audience in on what we’re doing onstage.
With an incredible online following, including almost a million fans on their Facebook and Twitter pages, and over 60 million plays spread across YouTube, Soundcloud and Spotify, The Glitch Mob are high in demand.
Their upcoming album 'Love, Death' Immortality' will be released on the 11th February 2014 through their own label, Glass Air Records. The first single and video 'Can't Kill Us' has already hit 500k+ views on YouTube and made it into the top 10 in the iTunes chart in the UK, Europe and Australia, proving that the forthcoming album is one of the most hotly anticipated releases of the year.
“The Glitch Mob, one of very few acts to include live instruments, sometimes pounded on three sets of drums to push its hip-hop remixes even further into bass-heavy foreboding.”- New York Times
