<span style="font-family: inherit;">Seed Experiences has committed to partnering with Bridges for Music for the next twelve months across all Seed events as it looks to solidify the relationship between the two companies. To kick-start this, Seed Experiences plans to raise substantial funds through various means – one being the launch of its “Charity Complimentary Contributions Initiative”.<u></u><u></u></span></div>

<span style="font-family: inherit;">The initiative means all complimentary tickets will now be charged at a percentage of the actual ticket price across various ticket types and all of these funds will go straight to Bridges for Music. This will begin with Seed’s upcoming annual properties Rocking the Daisies and Vodacom In The City.<u></u><u></u></span></div>

The school will add further weight to an already robust educational program that includes a scholarship program with SAE Institute, which has seen 12 young artists attend short courses – and the launch of an annual one-year Higher Certificate in Sound Production scholarship in partnership with the Black Coffee Foundation. <u></u><u></u></span></div>

So paying a small amount, knowing that it is contributing to this great cause, which is directly related to music and growing the industry in South Africa, should be met with enthusiasm.”<u></u><u></u></span></div>

<span style="font-family: inherit;">Producer & songwriter Emika has a background in classical piano and composition and was a sound designer for Native Instruments, one of the leading music production software companies before she launched her artistic career. Emika brings a fresh style to the ever-evolving world of electronic music, mixing her signature dark textures with beats and vocals, her last two albums Dva [2013, Ninja Tune] and Emika [2011, Ninja Tune] have proven that.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: inherit;">She describes herself as “making pop, but with a hard edge, playing different sounds and intensities against each other. I try to stay on the fence, leaving from for the listener to create a sense of what its about. It’s all about tension for me.”</span><br />

<span style="font-family: inherit;">Having lived through the formative years of the recent global explosion in bass music coming out of Bristol, she now lives in Berlin.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: inherit;">Her next soon to be announced new album will mark the second collaboration between her and Bomb Squad sonic architect Hank Shocklee, who is this time on mixing duties.</span><br />

Both of Emika’s brooding LPs for Ninja Tune have bowled us over, so we thought we would share her mix for EB Radio 2013. Across thirteen tracks, the <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ofC1r7fIWh0" target="_blank">Marcel Dettmann collaborator</a> calls upon the two clubs cultures which have shaped her sound the most: Bristol’s dubstep scene and Berlin’s house and techno wonderland. At times melancholic or melodic, her set gracefully darts between classic dubstep, contemporary house, and the mutant strains of said genres. Plus, there’s some charming surprises from the likes of Ennio Morricone, as well as a few unreleased tunes from Emika herself. And once you’ve sampled her DJ chops you will want more.<br />
