Staying true to its proudly African roots, the Jameson Vic Falls Carnival has released another wave of artists bolstering the local Zimbabwean and Namibian offering, adding to the already impressive lineup of Goldfish Live, Beatenberg, Oliver ‘Tuku’ Mtukudzi and Winky D.
Kicking off the exciting new acts, Zimbabwe’s electronic music poster boy and Hidden Culture founder, and ZiFM DJ, Jason Le Roux will keep the crowds on their feet until the early hours. Providing tour support to international superstar DJ’s like Hardwell (one-time world no. 1 DJ), Yolanda Be Cool, Alex Kenji, Belocca & Groove Armada to name a few, it’s safe to say Jason Le Roux is no stranger to rocking dance floors to amazing levels, which those lucky enough to have been at last year’s Jameson Vic Falls Carnival will vividly remember!
Festival favourites and one of Zimbabwe’s most popular music acts, Judgement Yard return to the festival to entertain and unify festival-goers with theirenergetic blend of dance hall, reggae and ragga, From their weekly radio show to their renowned live performances this trio have a dedicated following and are an electric act to experience on stage.
Legendary spin doctor, DJ Francis, will once again get the party started with a mix of tunes spanning the decades from 60's rock ‘n roll to the disco hits of the 80’s, right through to the latest electronic sounds of the 20th century. A regular on the Zimbabwean DJ scene, this muso has been on the decks for over 20 years.
Hailing from Swakopmund and thrilling audiences in their native Namibia for the past few years, the CU_Rage unit make their debut at the Jameson Vic Falls Carnival. Having played with the best DJ’s in Namibia, they will now energise this New Year’s festival with their Dubstep and House skills.
Last but not least, the award-winning record producer and composer Eleftherios Mukuka will bring an exhilarating cultural blend to the festival. His diverse mix of genres and innovative approach to fusion music - melting together Greek traditional music with sub-saharan African sounds, in both classical and electronic dance music form - is a welcome addition to this globally appealing music festival.
