MK Went Too Far With Aurora
TRACK OF THE DAY
AURORA | I WENT TOO FAR (MK REMIX)
MK lends his production and remix skills to Norwegian singer-songwriter Aurora on the song “I Went Too Far” taken from her latest album, All My Demons Greeting Me As A Friend. MK’s reputation in the world of production is nothing short of impressive. His sound can be defined as the epitome of summer and this can be heard throughout his catalogue of solo releases as well as smashing remixes. He has also had the pleasure of remixing the likes of Storm Queen's Look Right Through, and Lana Del Rey to name a few and in more recent times has lent his production skills for Mary J Blige.
Fresh off the success of his latest offering with Becky Hill "Pieces of Me", MK's remix of "I Went Too Far" is truly the track for summer 2016. The track opens with Aurora’s original hummed melody and verse, over soft drums and subdued chords. In true MK style, he adds his signature chopped layering as claps kick in for the build up. MK’s remix gives the track a summery, upbeat and dance-floor feel while keeping with the haunted-nostalgic vibe of the original.
