SERGE DEVANT RELEASES LONG AWAITED "FEARING LOVE" EP
Having been debuted as Annie Mac’s First Play (BBC Radio 1), the absolute smash hit by Serge Devant & Damiano ft. Camille Safiya that is “Fearing Love” is finally out on Jamie Jones and Lee Foss’ new imprint Emerald City. After being voted by DMC as Single of the Week and receiving airplay from tastemaker Pete Tong as part of his Essential Selection, the original is out now on Beatport as part of a two track EP, which includes a remix by the very own label head duo that is Jamie Jones and Lee Foss.
This is the first release from the Brooklyn based producer after a two-year hiatus, following an unfortunate snowboarding accident, which left him with a serious back injury, and it comes at a perfect time as the underground sound becomes embraced globally and especially in the United States. With its vibrating percussions that sit atop a subtle warm bass line, Camille’s smooth and soulful vocals are paired perfectly to create this ominous, but seductive summer anthem. About Serge Devant:
Serge Devant developed his insatiable taste for electronic music during late 1990’s, where as a resident of New York City, he found himself at the epicenter of the world's club culture. Eager to be part of this movement, the Brooklyn resident began honing his craft at legendary nightclubs such as Tunnel and Crobar, where he wowed fans night after night with his compelling and dynamic sets. As his popularity quickly began to spread, Serge’s name became synonymous with some of the biggest acts and labels, including the famed Ultra Records, with whom Serge signed a deal in 2008 and released two albums later on. After releasing the first album “Wanderer“ in 2009, with one of the most recognizable tracks on it - ‘Addicted’, Serge began touring the world forging a name for himself across the globe. In late 2012, he suffered a serious back injury, which forced him to take some time off to recover. Rather than letting a bad accident ruin his spirits, Serge utilized this newfound downtime and decided to refocus on his life’s passion and figure out what direction he wanted to take his new sound in. Filled with new inspiration, Serge returned to the studio during which he linked up with long-time friend Damiano and recorded 'Fearing Love'. Completely reinventing his sound and having finally found a home in today's music landscape, Serge is now in the fast lane to become one of 2015's most talked about artists.
