Das Kapital Releases New Singles on Nightshift, City Back & Callin' Dub

Das Kapital - City Back feat Robert Neal Jr  and Callin’ Dub 

At the end of April, Manchester based Nightshift releases their first truly international release by Cape Town based Producer & DJ, Das Kapital.

Having charted in the DMC Buzz Chart Top 10 in December with his remix of Dark Disco by Corderoy, this release follows up his remix of Sergeant Africa on My Techno Weighs A Ton for Sharkslayer, First Gift and All Guns Blazing released in February.

Das Kapital says of the release "City Back’ is an homage to Cape Town - A city that is as much a strange blend of cultures as the track itself. It's all about rolling 808 sub kicks, jacking drums, hooky synth stabs, and a call to represent where you come from.  ‘Callin' Dub’ draws heavily on Hardcore and Jungle and I wanted to capture that feeling with track.  It shows it’s Dub influence with a bassline that flows more than just slamming in as a drop.  It's unashamedly a send out and call to action for people in the dance. 

‘City Back’ features the vocals of one Robert Neal Jr from ‘70s Funk band Faze-O.  Signed by Clarence Satchell of Ohio Players fame, Faze-O’s biggest single is the often sampled track ‘Riding High’ which was a top 10 hit in the USA in 1978.  

“I have always admired the body of works by Das Kapital and was totally blown away at the opportunity to do some tracking with him.  As long distance as we are from each other we have proven that “Music Is Worldwide and Funkalicious”.
