D.Know Releases New Single ‘Telegram’
D.Know - Telegram
Cape Town based Techno producer
D.Know’s new single ‘Telegram’ is due for a full
release on 2nd February and is available for pre-order
now on independent label Do Work Records.
A follow up to the recently released ‘Flatline Shuffle’,
D.Know’s releases have been supported by national
radio in South Africa and the UK; blogs including
Waxhole, Chase The Compass and Rage Tracks; and
he has also charted in the Top 15 of Blog Aggregator
Hype Machine.
Of the new release D.Know says:
"Telegram is a track inspired by the recent garage and techno renaissance, with punchy
kicks, 808 bass, distorted percussion and wide synths, it begins with a broken-beat rhythm
which eventually builds to a classic four-to-the-floor drop and back again. The track is one of
my earlier productions and hence incorporates a variety of influences to create an eclectic
arrangement with the sounds of House and Techno at its core
"
Label boss Das Kapital says:
"I'm really excited to have D.Know back on Do Work Records with "Telegram", the first of
two singles due out from him in early 2015. The production morphs and rolls onwards,
developing from a broken beat groove track into an outright houser as it draws to a close.
The lush atmosphere and spacey feel to the tune has lead to some wonderful early support
on international radio in 2014, so I'm very excited we are letting this one out the bag."
D.Know’s previous reimagining and remake of Ten Wall’s global hit ‘Walking With
Elephants’, a proper cover where nothing of the original was sampled, has now had over
5,000 plays on Soundcloud.
‘Telegram ” is available for pre-order now on iTunes and will be released on all download
sites on February 2nd on Do Work Records
