Rayel has been called “the modern-day Mozart” on account of his distinctive
orchestral sound. Top local talent at
the event includes Pascal & Pearce, Royal K, Household Funk, Vimo and the
Pimp Squad.
"South Africa is simply a place which you have to visit” said
the trance star about his imminent arrival, “getting the chance to check out
the beauty of the country and the opportunity to play for my fans there is just
amazing, I really can't wait to rock JHB and Durban!”
Last year a 3000-strong crowd danced the night away to German
trance duo Cosmic Gate - this year Spiced Productions have returned strong with
Moldovian trance star, Andrew Rayel
who will headline Imagine Nation Chapter
2 at Midrand Mega Park alongside over 10 of South Africa’s biggest
electronic acts on two dancefloors.
Although his career is fairly young, Rayel has already played
the world's most legendary clubs and festivals including Gathering,
Trancefusion, Ball En Blanc, Trancemission and Ministry of Sound to multiple A
State of Trance 600 events, the A State of Trance Ibiza Nights at Privilege and
the world-famous Monday Bar Cruise.
In 2013 hundreds of thousands of fans voted him #28 in the DJ
Mag Top 100 making him the highest climber. This year he rose to reach the 24th
position.
At only 22, he is widely regarded as a leading talent in the
new generation of EDM producers. Developing strong musical skills, he studied
orchestral music and kicked off his producing career at only 13 years of age. Earning
the support of the DJ elite, the Rayel sound has spread all across the globe,
from underground clubs to mainstream festivals and remix requests from industry
leaders like Armin van Buuren Markus Schulz, Tiƫsto, W&W, Bobina, Tenishia,
