Get To Know Space Ibiza's Gelab
Gelab
They say perseverance is the key to success, and that talent only comes through hard work and passion.
Convinced since his early years that music was his reason to be, Gelab was one of those kids that spent their childhood with headphones stuck to his head, preferring the latest Dance hits rather than Football games and cassette collections rather than card collections.
He soon changed his video games for a synthesizer, which he spent many sleepless nights with, discovering sounds and rhythms that gradually confirmed his taste for electronic melodies.
Over time, his taste for production was extrapolated to the dance floor where, at the ripe age of 16, he discovered another fundamental character of the electronic music scene: the DJ. After several years defining his technique and searching for his musical style, Gelab found in EDM his flagship sound, which he is the most comfortable with, not only producing but also in his sessions.
From this point, his career goes in crescendo and Gelab gets to play at the most iconic dance music events, such as Space Ibiza’s Closing Fiesta, Miami’s Ultra Music Festival or Space Moscow’s resounded Opening Party, sharing booth with the best artists of the international scene.
Gelab will also mix the famous Ibiza Calling compilation from the Space Ibiza Balearic party in which the young artist will play several times as a guest DJ. Gelab’s first studio album, named Zero, is set to be released soon and will be also presented at the Ibiza Calling nights.
Catch Gelab playing as Space Ibiza celebrates its worldwide 25 Year Anniversary Tour at an explosive day-night music event on 29 November 2014 at The Riversands Incubation Hub and we giving you a chance to win tickets..
