U're Okay is only release #4 from Chicago’s Nick Stoynoff and he shows no signs of slowing down. Reeleased on Solarstones Molecule Recordings U're Okay is an addictive quadruple serving of Tech House. The Original Mix is constructed around an incessant Italo bassline, analogue sequences, acidic burbling and some nifty edits. Konektiv’s ambiguously-titled remix is a master-class in what can be achieved by morphing and manipulating filters while keeping the source material to a minimum – a more expressive and immersive example of deep Tech House you’d struggle to lay your hands on! The EA3 Reconstruction is the full-length Solarstone-tweaked version lifted directly from his recent “Electronic Architecture 3” compilation. Finally, the Slow version is exactly that – at a sedentary 100BPM “U’re OK” is re-envisaged with one eye on the lounge bars & a toe simultaneously dipped in the pool. Enjoy!
