Originally from the UK, raised in NYC but now hailing from Canada, Zolo is the driving force behind some of the hottest electro-funk to manifest from the Canadian club scene.  Following on from his ‘Vacating Love’ release and the wildly successful ‘Dance-Tape’ and‘Lost’ mix tapes, Zolo is back with another party banger – and this time, he’s brought the Futuristic Polar Bears and Adam Turner.

Taking an undeniably darker direction than his previous releases, Dark is, in Zolo’s own words, “a deep journey into an uncharted thought” – aptly named and from the very first bar, it’s obviousZolo has found his niche.  Stabby, big room synths complement Zolo’s haunting and frenetic vocals, and one thing’s for sure, Dark is not a tune to chill out to – this one will need to be dispatched in the midst of only the darkest discos.

Produced by Toronto’s own Young Wolves and with the release backed up by big room heroes, the Futuristic Polar Bears, on a suitably heavy duty trance-tinged remix, the package is rounded off by a pounding, progressive mix from UK producer Adam Turner.  Between them, the three mixes have all angles covered on what is sure to beZolo’s heaviest and darkest offering yet.
