CR2 RECORDS DELIVER MORE STUNNING REMIXES OF NILE RODGERS’ ‘DO WHAT YOU WANNA DO’ FROM MOON BOOTS & THE EEL OUT NOW ON BEATPORT
London-based dance label CR2 Records announces the release of another breathtaking remix EP for Nile Rodgers’ IMS Anthem ‘Do What You Wanna Do
Continuing the stream of quality releases from Cr2 Records in their 10th Anniversary year, the London-based dance label announces the release of another breathtaking remix EP for Nile Rodgers’ IMS Anthem ‘Do What You Wanna Do’. In this latest package, a smooth garage-infused remix from US producer Moon Boots that’s already being supported by pioneer DJ EZ in his Kiss FM show sits alongside a broody, swinging offering in the form of The EEL Interpretation from UK underground icon Eats Everything and Lukas. Available to buy now from Beatport, this is the penultimate chapter of this immense release before the radio version arrives on August 10th.
With a host of wonderful reworks already out and making waves in the blogosphere, this bass-laden coupling adds to the already distinguished array of producers to give their own spin to disco great Nile’s 2013 International Music Summit Anthem. Man with the Midas touch MK delivered his stunning ‘Disko Dub’ back in May, before turns from up-and-comers Grades and Silversix, as well as legendary Dutch duo Chocolate Puma and UK tastemaker Rob Da Bank dropped on June 9th. Testament to both the supreme collection of talent selected for remix duty and the amazing accessibility of Nile’s music, the wide-ranging sound spectrum on offer provides something for almost every dance music fan and you can sample each on the Cr2 SoundCloud page.
As their 10th Anniversary year crosses its halfway point, Cr2 Records have still more exciting projects in the pipeline. On top of ‘Do What You Wanna Do’ with its epic remix catalogue and a remix competition for the 2009 hit on Cr2 from Chuckie & LMFAO ‘Let The Bass Kick In Miami Bitch’, the UK imprint will be releasing landmark compilations for two of Ibiza’s most famed institutions this year. Sunspot and height-of-cool beach club Blue Marlin celebrates a decade in existence, while super club and White Isle icon Space marks 25 years of hosting some of the biggest and best parties to have ever happened. As if that wasn’t enough to get stuck into, Cr2 have an insane announcement coming soon so watch this space!
