Johannesburg – There is a reason that Armin Van Buuren has been voted the world’s best DJ 5 times. The Armin Only Intense World Tour has been billed as Armin’s most intense show ever and the only predictable component of this tour is to expect the unexpected! This is the opposite of a festival, this is a unique massive spectacular intended to take the audience on an emotional, musically driven journey through utopia. Six hours of solid, heartfelt, mind-blowing trance and it is coming to Johannesburg for one night only at the Coca-Cola Dome on 14 June 2014. Proudly bought to you by Big Electronic and M-Net.

Armin van Buuren fans can expect to be blown away by stunning live performances, fireworks, lasers, light, acrobat and dancing acts plus top-notch technical effects that have never been used in EDM before. The Armin Only Intense world tour has seen Armin working with the best theatre producers in the world to create a completely new theatrical experience which stimulates his audiences every sense.

This show has a production period of 3 months with 11 people and more than 3.5 hours of timecode video content. There are 270 fully custom freestyle video clips as well as a 3D full body animation of Armin. The stage uses 100 people and 14 hours to build and 6-8 hours to disassemble. There are 55 people who organise the stage during the live show and 51.5 kilometres of cable in the venue.

The Armin Only Intense team consists of over 30 people – Armin, the band, 4 dancers, 6 singers, 2 acrobats, a technical producer, tour manager, a producer, 2 show directors, a show caller, a VJ, lighting members, audio members and a camera crew filming the Intense Road Movie.

This show has been hailed as “a stellar electronic opera” and “the music guided the spectator from one climax into the other”.
