Harry Romero shows his dark side with his latest slice “Rapture,” coming out May 30 on SIZE. Instilling the very definition of its title, “Rapture” is a deep techno track that holds true to the dark underground warehouse culture. Romero creates a minimal yet melodic track with infectious loops, that sounds like a 2014 version of Contra’s theme Song.
Winner of the BBC Legend Award, Harry Romero was Inspired by Run-DMC and the 80’s Latin-freestyle movement. Having one of the most interesting careers in all of dance music, the conductor of house has had prolific releases on Subliminal Records, Toolroom, SIZE and Ovum just to name a few.
In addition to his solo work, he teamed up with labelmate Jose Nunez for the side project Constipated Monkeys. With an outlandish name and a reputation that spands across the glob, the duo managed to earn residencies at both The Ministry of Sound in London and Pacha in Ibiza, Spain.
