This new track from Dutch duo Chocolate Puma “Rubberband Lazer” is a serious house tune that drops into a thunderous bassline. Out today and serving as their Dim Mak debut, “Rubberband Lazer” is the perfect fusion of a four-to-the-floor beat that’s meant for a massive soundsystem, combined with a bit of the cheek that Chocolate Puma are known for.
Gaston Steenkist and René ter Horst aka Chocolate Puma are two of The Netherlands' most celebrated electronic producers, and with a career spanning 20 years, 200-odd releases and countless remixes under their various guises, they are a duo whose influence on the dance music scene cannot be underestimated.
Over the last few years, Chocolate Puma and leading house label Defected Records have enjoyed a close relationship. Their latest projects contain remixes for Kaskade, Norman Doray, Major Lazer and collaborations with Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano and Firebeatz. Throughout the years Rene and Gaston continue to stand for quality in a music scene littered with mediocrity, setting ever higher standards for their own production and inspiring new generations of producers with every beat, bass thump and joyously raised hand. Chocolate Puma are a benchmark for excellence, hard-work and talent; long may they continue to fly the flag.
