GET TO KNOW KUTSKI!
It’s very rare in this day and age to find new pioneers who work hard day in day out to constantly push the boundaries of harder music. The new savior of rave and master of the harder styles, Kutski aptly fits this title and is without a doubt the most exciting crossover talent to emerge from the UK in the past decade!
With his infamous technical ability and incredible musical versatility it’s not difficult to see why he has earned the tag ‘The People’s Favorite’, voted the UK’s No.1 Hard Dance DJ in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll and scooping up awards for ‘Best UK Hard DJ’ for 3 years running in the Hard Dance Awards as well as best Hard Dance DJ and podcast/radio show in the Hardcore Heaven Awards!
His ‘Keeping The Rave Alive’ podcast and radio show has become one of the leading forces in the harder styles, which has grown to become the UK’s leading hard-edged brand. Kutski is also the ambassador of all things hard for BBC Radio One representing the station to cover the harder styles for over 10 years now!
This unique diversity and musical knowledge prompted DJ Magazine to approach Kutski to become their newest column writer for the harder styles! Kutski has also been working alongside the world’s giants Pioneer in product development where he joins the dance music elite alongside Chuckie, Doorly & Carl Cox.
Kutski’s incredible diversity and huge demand has seen him play at every major festival worth their salt worldwide including Tomorrowland, Creamfields, Defqon 1, Electric Daisy Carnival, Dominator, The Qontinent, Dance Valley, Global Gathering, Electrocity, Planet Love & Coloursfest. Internationally Kutski continues to dominate new territory in emerging markets like North America & Asia as well as building stronger fan bases year by year touring Australia, USA, Canada, Japan,South Africa, Malaysia, Indonesia, Sweden, Poland, Austria, The Netherlands & Germany!
2012 saw the launch of Kutski’s ‘Keeping The Rave Alive’ brand set up to represent 360 degrees of the harder styles. Kick starting as a weekly podcast it has quickly gained momentum now exceeding 30,000 downloads per week and regularly charting in the Top 10 downloads on iTunes alongside the likes of Armin van Buuren, Annie Mac & Tiesto. With the hype around the KTRA podcast reaching epic levels, world renowned leader of the harder styles Q Dance asked Kutski to come onboard to broadcast weekly on the Q-Dance radio network as well as drafting him in for radio specials co-presenting with hardstyle scene leaders such as Headhunterz & Wildstylez!
Kutski is now officially known as the voice of Q Dance radio being drafted into host the most popular radio station of the harder styles between his headline sets at their festivals as well as at key one off specials planned! This co-operation will continue and develop even stronger into 2014.
Keeping The Rave Alive or KTRA for short has branched out in 2013 hosting their own sell out events and hosting arenas across the U.K representing a true cross spectrum of the harder styles from the tougher end of house right up to European hardcore sounds with guests booked to date including Technoboy, Anime, Dr Rude, Gammer, Alex Kidd and the Organ Donors!
The KTRA brand has also inspired an album series only into its second volume its already the UK’s highest selling hard dance album featuring on the front page of I-tunes worldwide and still pressing and selling physical units to devoted fans worldwide!
Not content with all of the above Kutski has also been setting his sights on production over the past few years. 2012 saw him team up with long time friend and studio partner Audiofreq for a collaboration on Dutch label Scantraxx, ‘Forgiven’ topped download charts worldwide including hardstyle.com! Kutski also collaborated with Italian hardstyle pioneers TNT for the smash hit ‘Sucksess’ on the Titanic label.
2013 saw this taken to the next level with two single releases signed to Belgium powerhouse Dirty Workz ‘Outlaw’ and ‘Vermin‘ as well as being asked to do the very first official hardstyle remix for Dutch house label Mixmash records of D.O.D’s Bananas which hit the number one spot on the beatport hard dance chart! His tracks and remixes have picked up big support on the hardstyle scene with the likes of Headhunterz, D Block & S Te Fan, Isaac, Technoboy, Coone and many more supporting his productions!
Expect much more from Kutski in 2014, be prepared to be amazed and you wont be far wrong.
