Gareth Emery feat. Christina Novelli - Dynamite [REVIEW]
Dynamite…. Well this song is beautifully composed and the stunning vocals WOW! But let’s talk about the lyrics… You know when I hear this song I am transported back to a time when I did community projects as part of the Junior Engineer committee I was on at work. It was what we called Mandela Day where we dedicated 67 minutes of our time to helping those in need. Our company’s corporate initiative was to help out a children’s home by throwing a little party with all sorts of fun and entertainment and our only task for the day was to have fun with the kids by playing games with them volleyball, soccer, any sorts of game….
It was not the first time I had done community
work but this experience was beyond humbling for me. Taking a moment to see
these kids who were abandoned by their parents just smiling and laughing
innocently just broke my heart…. Upon hearing some of their dreams and
aspirations to be doctors or engineers or super models just made me
think….Innocent and undeserving coming from nothing yet they dream and believe
that they can be something great someday. The sad thing is that there is no one
to share in that hope and belief and if given half the chance of even the
tiniest bit of hope all their dreams and aspirations could become reality….This just made me think of how we
all have the potential to be something someday irrespective of where we come
from or what our past is like…I take for granted that I have a supporting mum
and sister who are there for me no matter what and I truly believe that sometimes
to achieve your potential all it takes is someone to be there for you in dark
times, to push you, believe in you and be there for you no matter what! Just as
Christina sings “like a blazing light ready to ignite we are made of dynamite”
Alone you can achieve your dreams but with the right support system it uplifts
you and makes it that much more possible kinda like dynamite strong and
powerful!!!
When I hear this song I think of my
adorable little darling nephew. I am totally the un-mummy type and the thought
of me being a mum scares me and I’m sure everyone else that knows me knows that
too! That said my younger cousin recently had a baby who I call my nephew. I am
not lying when I say that I love this kid. My sister captured a sweet little
moment of me with him and yeah I’m sure it will melt your heart too… “Dynamite”
with the sweet innocent melody and the gorgeous vocals and lyrics makes me
think of this picture….. Looking into his big brown innocent baby eyes and
holding him in my arms….I see his purity and I see the world he will one day
experience with all the good but I also see all the bad and cruelties that I
wish I could protect him from. I guess I can’t and so all I can is be there for
him through good times and bad, love him adore him guide him, believe in him
and help him become the best he can be….I would do absolutely anything in the
world for him and I will always remind him that no matter what “we are made of
dynamite”

We all go through moments in life,
experience things we wish to forget, memories we rather erase and people we
hope to never see again. Regret is one of the worse feeling to feel, it brings
us down in ways we don’t see but others around us do. We sit and dwell on
everything that has gone wrong and never look at the positive. We get stuck in
the past and don’t look the future, we are human and that is human nature. All
we need sometimes is a push n the reight direction. One special person to make
us smile, a precious moment to open our eyes and let us know how great we are.
For me listening to Dynamite did that.
This past week I have been faced with
hearing things I don’t want to hear, facing feelings I rather ignore. Dealing
with what’s not been said or what has been said. All I want to do is burry my
head any cry or run away, But Ive relaized I’m strong enough to deal with them.
Im strong in ways that I don’t know all I need to do is let go of the fear. We
will always have the our supporters who will be there no matter what. We are
made of DYNAMITE, we have the power to do anything we set out to do. We have
the ability to do whatever we set our minds to. This been said we cant let our
minds get in the way and pull us back. We cant dwell on the what ifs and buts.
So if you want something and believe it go
for it, live life, YOU ARE MADE OF DYNAMITE and you will be able to deal with
whatever life throws at you, whatever consequnces.
