DJ GREEN LANTERN DROPS VOL. 1 IN THE 'KNOW ABOUT ME' MIX SERIES ANNOUNCES SXSW SHOWCASES

DJ Green Lantern is on a one-man mission this 2014. Having started off with an edit of Tommy Trash’s F#$%WIND, the Rochester native then released what has indisputably been one of the biggest hip-hop to dance crossover tracks of the short year so far with ‘Know About Me’. Now, ‘The Evil Genius’ is letting fans stay up to date on all things Green by establishing his very own mixtape series named after the Iggy Azalea-assisted banger. Enter Mix 001 of the ‘Know About Me’ series available now for FREE DOWNLOAD.
Premiered last week on THUMP, Mix 001 demonstrates Green’s omniscience over all genres as he switches and swaps effortlessly through a host of different sounds. The likes of Childish Gambino, M.I.A., A-Trak, Paper Diamond and Keys ‘N Krates are just a few of the artists to feature across the 40 minute run time, with some of Green’s very own exclusives such as ‘Monster’ and ‘The Champ Is Here” thrown in alongside the title track.
Green said of the mix, “The title of the mix ‘Know About Me’ is just really that. I want the “Know About Me” mix platform to keep fans up to speed of what I’m doing, what my musical tastes are and what’s to come next. This mix is dance-y, trance-ish at times, but still carries a hip-hop backbone to me. The mixes will be consistently coming out on a regular basis and will showcase my current DJ selections. I’m consistently on the road doing shows and look at this to give the people a taste of what to expect from me, as well as, a platform to preview my up and coming music.”
With showcase sets confirmed at SXSW for Ultra Music and AM Only plus some extra dates down in Miami at the WMC, Green’s 2014 continues to get bigger and bigger. Add collaborations with Riff Raff, A$AP Rocky and 2 Chainz to the pipeline and you have what is undoubtedly going to be his best yet.
