Los Angeles-based producer Static Revenger returns with new single “Colors At Night” featuring singer-songwriter Kay, out now on Dim Mak Records. The single also features mixes from producers Needle Mover and Roniks.
On the track, a follow-up to his recent Dim Mak release “Back Off, Bitch!” and itsaccompanying remix EP, Static Revenger returns to his “Happy People” roots with a nod to his old school Detroit days with the “SR deep mix.” “Colors At Night” takes listeners straight down the steps to an underground basement party, while the emotive vocal from Kay celebrates the lighting directors of the world, the artists who provide music fans with “colors at night” and “lasers and light” and whose work plays such an important role in festival and club experiences across the globe.
Following the current success of “Stop, Drop, & Roll,” which racked up 60,000 SoundCloud plays in a week, the Needle Mover Mix features an emotional chord breakdown with an equally beautiful, vocoder vocal and a relentless drop that walks a line between big room and Melbourne bounce with an out-of-control, arpeggiated synth line. Additionally, newcomer Roniks makes his Dim Mak debut with an amazing drumstep rendition not to be missed.
