The infamous Wolfgang Gartner is at it again; hot off the heels of his fall Hounds of Hell Tour with Tommy Trash. This time he’s offering up “Piranha,” a melodic and uplifting tune that simultaneously delivers that Wolfgang Gartner electro-house punch that his legions of fans have come to worship him for. “Piranha” is set for release December 17 on Wolfgang Gartner’s own imprint Kindergarten Recordings.
Wolfgang Gartner has managed to innovate, lead, and inspire a generation of dance producers and fans alike over the course of a short, but explosive career that has seen him garner a Grammy nomination, eight straight #1 singles on Beatport, countless high profile festival plays around the world (Coachella, Electric Daisy Carnival, Lollapalooza, Parklife, and many more), and a genre-defying debut full length that featured seminal electro house staples, "Illmerica" and "Space Junk". Whether it's through collaborations with Deadmau5 or Skrillex, or keeping the electronic music scene guessing with 2012 standout tracks, "Anaconda" and "Love & War," he consistently demonstrates a musical evolution that may well change the way we think about dance music for years to come.
However, it’s not merely enough for the American producer to forge out alone with the redrafting of a musical frontier that many are just discovering. With the reigniting of his label, Kindergarten Recordings, he is unleashing a new crop of talent that will look to make their mark for years to come.
