SIED VAN RIEL RIELISM 2
The last 50 weeks have see Sied van Riel track-blasting his way
around the electronic dance universe’s most prominent clubs, arenas and
festivals. December 16th will see him transit 2013/2014 through the release
‘Rielism 2’. The follow-up to his much-champed 2011 debut mix-voyage, it’s worthy
successor in every right and respect. The second realization of ‘Rielism’ brings
a heritage-return to Sied’s best-known-for sound - that of atmospheric,
floor-thriving progressive and powerful, cultured trance.
Seamlessly, harmonically and thrillingly mixed to perfection, it
includes numerous box-fresh, never-heard-before tracks from some of planet
Earth’s most talented electronic musicians. Incoming is music from the artisanal
studios of Corsten, Tyas, O’Callaghan and Ottaviani, as well as hot-ticket
audio from Aly & Fila, Bobina, Arctic Quest, Protoculture, Sneijder and a
dozen + others besides. With many exclusives from ‘Rielism’s own anchorman, ‘R.2’
has already taxied for take off. So strap yourselves in, ensure your seat is in
the upright position and secure any loose objects! Cos things are about to get
as Riel as they can get.
Released through Black Hole Recordings December 16th

‘Rielism
2’ embarks on its sound quest in smooth accent, courtesy of the astounding new
SvR creation ‘Breathe Out’. A bona fide stylistic departure, its progressive
transcendental-ism features the warm, indolent vocals of Danish songstress
Signe G. It draws ‘Rielism 2’ up into an epic 160-minute-long sonic slipstream.
Doubling as a near ‘mini artist album’, as it reaches cruising speed it unfurls
much previously unheard/purpose built van Riel material. In and amongst its
progressive thermals, trance glide-paths and tech/elec turbulence are his
latest single ‘8 Decades’, the distinctive vocals tones of Chris Jones on their
forthcoming ‘Share The Night’ and Evil Sardine’s ‘Cruisin’ (van Riel again, in
intriguing, offbeat, anagram-ic form!).
On bringing
the second edition of ‘Rielism’ to fans, Sied said: “to the greater extent this
release represents my return to the sound with which I first made my name. I
always think that it’s better left to fans, journalists and significant others
to stylistically label exactly what that is. What I do think you’ll hear, and
from the very earliest tracks in the mix, is a real succession from the overall
sound of ‘Rielism 1’.
Hope you enjoy the ride as much as I do!”
Hope you enjoy the ride as much as I do!”
Further
exclusively pushing ‘Rielism 2’s upwards trajectory is Spark7’s neuron bombing
retouch of Aly & Fila’s club-smash ‘We Control The Sunlight’ and Marc Simz
thermobaric remix of Bobina’s ‘No Substitute For You’. The
side-chain-compressed, pitch-bending infection of Sherano’s ‘It Moves On’
toughens ‘Rielism’s stance, while Bogdan Vix’s ‘Providance’ and others brings
techier sequences and inflexions. Comparably the second disc also contains a
wealth of Sied’s new production collaborations. Among them are ‘Razor’, ‘Beast
Within Me’ and ‘Long Laster’, which sees the Dutchman sharing studio space with
the likes of Wezz Devall, David Forbes and Eximinds.
With its
mix-thrills already flying it well above safe operational levels, Sied gives ‘Rielism
2’ one last stratosphere-directing throttle squeeze. With 2014 breakthrough
threat Sneijder’s dynamo drums & aerodynamic synths propelling ‘Remember
Me’ and Will Atkinson’s likewise equipped peak-time port of Ferry Corsten’s ‘Many
Ways’ achieving final stage ignition, ‘Rielism 2’ reaches full combustion. Will
‘Rielism 2’ prove too Riel for you? Only one way to find out! Flights commence December
16th.
