Interview || Wild Out With Borgore

Getting to know Borgore Better Ahead of His South Africa Debut 

Borgore comes from Tel Aviv, Israel. He is the founder of Buygore Records and former drummer of Israeli deathcore band Shabira. He is also part of the dubstep duo Alphamale Primates, which consists of him and Tomba.Self-described as "Gorestep", his music incorporates triplet drum patterns with heavy metal influences.Some songs have been compared to horror movies, farm animals, and sex. Sometimes he performs under the nicknames: Borgina, Isabelle or Estrella. He has released tracks under Dim Mak Records, Spinnin' Records, Sumerian Records and also his own label Buygore. In 2012, he released the single "Decisions", with back-up vocals provided by Miley Cyrus.His label Buygore records has brought to fame artists such as Document One and even Rusko has released on the label. Current Buygore signees include Dead Audio, Ookay, Kennedy Jones, Bare and At Dawn We Rage among others. Borgore has been credited (slightly jokingly) even by his close friend and fellow producer DJ Carnage for the change in musical style and attitude of Miley Cyrus. His debut album called #NEWGOREORDER has been released on Buygore Records under exclusive license with Dim Mak Records

Hello Borgore, and welcome to Think in Electronic, its such a pleasure to be doing this interview with you, 

Happy belated birthday! Hope you had a good day, did you enjoy getting caked by Steve Aoki? Always

1.     We ask all of our “guests” this, what is the first thing that comes to mind when you hear South Africa?

Wild life I guess…..I heard from a lot of friends there are amazing beaches, mountains, bouldering. I heard it’s incredible over there.

2.     Who is the man behind Borgore and where did the name Borgore come from?

The Man behind Borgore is Arnold Schwarzenegger

3.     Can you take us through the story of how it all started for you, what precisely pulled you into the EDM scene and at which point in your life did it all become real?

Started playing music when I was three years old

4.     Inspiration is all around us sometimes not, when producing where do you draw your inspiration from and how do you deal with writers block?

I don’t get writers block

5.     You do a lot of touring with Steve Aoki what’s the best thing about touring with Steve Aoki?

Everything. He’s a really nice lad and keeps me fit. He’s very inspirational.

6.     You have an upcoming South Africa tour; We have to ask this one what are your perceptions of South Africa and what are you most looking forward to?

7.     What can we look forward to from your performances in South Africa?

A mix of electronic music from all over the spectrum. A lot of hot girls in minimal clothes.

8.     What sound or noise do you love and why? What sound or noise do you hate and why?

I hate snoring the most. The worst sound ever!

9.     You own your own label Buygore, what do you look for when signing tracks?

Good music

10.  Cedric Gervais and Borgore Deception set our playlist on fire for months what was it like working with Cedric?

I loved working with Cedric because he’ a super nice guy, very talented, and an inspiration in getting hot girls.

11.  We are a little jealous that we can’t attend one of your wild parties L. Tell us a little bit about what you have in store for fans attending the Borgore, Carnage & friends New Years Eve bash at Hollywood Palladium?

There’s no need to be jealous since I’m bringing the wild party to South Africa.

12.  We always wondered what it would be like to be a world famous DJ , is it all it “looks” to be?

I live my life as a rockstar.
