FEDDE LE GRAND & DI-RECT'S 'WHERE WE BELONG ARRIVES ON BEATPORT 23RD DECEMBER
Within hours of its 18th October Netherlands’ release date, ‘Where We Belong’ was earmarked as the coveted 538 Dance Smash, an accolade national hero Fedde Le Grand is now all too familiar with. This time around though, the honours were shared with cult favourite rock band,DI-RECT, who lend their gorgeous instrumental and emotive vocals on a spectacular all-Dutch collaboration. Whilst the record climbs all charts in the Netherlands, its worldwide release date is now set for December 23rd when the track will be made available on Beatport via Fedde’s Flamingo Recordings. You can see out the wait now though, with the live debut from Fedde Le Grand Rocks Amsterdam, presented to you by MTV.
Joined on stage by a host of talent at Escape Club during the annual Amsterdam Dance Event, the baying crowd was waiting for one thing – the live collaboration with DI-RECT, teased by the two acts just a week prior. In classic Fedde style they were not disappointed as the 6-piece performance raised the roof with the anthemic track set to smash the charts once more for the world-renowned super producer. A deviation in sound and a hit that took on a natural formulation with jam sessions over months of hard work, Le Grand continues to push the envelope of his capabilities. For another taste, check the preview once more below.
One of the hardest working producers around, Fedde Le Grand has been as relentless as ever in 2013 with his live shows and releases. ‘Where We Belong’ will add to an already impressive array of originals and remixes Le Grand has gifted his fans with as we approach next year.
