Have you been missing that BOUNCE on the dance floor? Well, you’ll want to take notice of this massive gem we just unearthed for you – Congorock & Nom De Strip, “Minerals” – out – November 22 on Ultra Music.
“Minerals” marks the much-anticipated return to the producer’s chair for Italy’s Congorock, who in partnership with emerging talent Nom De Strip, has created one of the most talked about tracks on the global dance floor – a track that has garnered praise already from the likes of Kaskade, David Guetta, Tommy Trash,Nervo, John Dahlbäck, Dada Life and more. This isn’t about a huge drop and some glorious synths that you’ve heard before. Rather, “Minerals” brings a fierce driving rhythm that makes you want to get down to business and dance all night long.
Congorock, the Sci-Fi obsessed producer, burst onto the scene in 2009 when he dropped the fiery single "Babylon" and scorching remixes of Boy George and Mark Ronson's "Somebody to Love" and Swedish House Mafia's "One." Genre titans David Guetta, Tiësto, Diplo, Afrojack, Martin Solveig, and more began spinning his tracks, showing allegiance to the budding talent as he supported everyone from MSTRKRFT to Chemical Brothers. In 2012, he remixed Rihanna'ssmash "Diamonds" and joined her for the highly publicized 777 Tour.
Since launching his solo project "Nom De Strip" in 2009, producer Chris Elliott has gone on to release many underground hits, and more recently has put out two acclaimed EP's - Clouds EP Vol 1 and Vol 2 - as well as an official remix of Tommy Trash’s “Monkey See Monkey Do” – all of which have found their natural home on deadmau5's highly successful mau5trap label imprint. Nom has been hailed as one to watch by industry heavyweights such as deadmau5, Tiësto, Swedish House Mafia, Wolfgang Gartner, Tommy Trash, Dada Life and Dirty South. The producer was greeted with massive support from deadmau5 in 2012, leading to a string of remixes under the mau5trap label. The meteoric impact of recent key tracks “The Nothing,” “Swagnum P.I.,” and a remix of mau5's “Channel 42” lead to Elliott signing an exclusive deal with Chris Lake’s Rising Music label in 2013.
Fortify your dance music experience with these essential “Minerals.”
