Dubbed by many as the Viking of trance, hailing from the land of trolls and Vikings Orjan Nilsen is a name that all trance music lovers know. Dedicated, hardworking and energetic describe this producer to a T. Ørjans made a splash on Dutch label Armada Music with the track “Red Woods” released in 2006 under his DJ Governor alias, and over the years Ørjan found his groove, flashing samples of his huge potential, with “La Guitarra” (2008), Lovers Lane and So Long Radio (2010). Ørjan went on to release his first artist album in 2011 titled “In My Opinion” which stormed up sales charts and catapulted Ørjan onto the watch-list of every EDM-fan around. </div>

We believe he needs no introduction and with his long-awaited <b>South African</b> debut on the <b>8th and 9th of April</b>, this weeks Throwback track belongs to the Viking. A special track out of his endless list of iconic releases La Guitarra was dedicated to Orjan’s deceased brother Ernst, who died of cancer in December 2007. ‘La Guitarra grew to be one of the biggest summer tracks of the summer of  2008. <i>Orjan</i>: “At that time I wasn’t even sure if I wanted to sign the track, but it would have been stupid not to. This way it was broadcasted and could give my brother a place which I think he deserved, backing me up and supporting me for all those years. That it became a summer-hit and became as big as it did, just got me up as a producer and an artist. I had a lot of messages from people who told me how much that track meant to them, given the story behind the track, and just one or two messages like that would have been enough for me to feel that I’ve accomplished something with a track that emotional. ‘La Guitarra’ will always mean a lot to me, even if it was ‘just another summer tune’ for some.” A mixed feeling is what ‘La Guitarra’ gave to Orjan - (taken from an interview with <a href="http://www.armadamusic.com/news/2009/05/2600/" target="_blank">Armada Music</a>).</div>

The past weekend saw Stephan Bodzin adding his name to the <b>Essential Mix</b> list. Stephan is an artist who lives by Authenticity.  “Authenticity is everything - without it, everything would appear to be nothing more than a hollow shell”, says someone who has found himself at the centre of the international techno scene since 2006. The passionate musician from Bremen has become a heavy inﬂuence for an awful lot of producers worldwide.</div>

As the son of an experimental musician, his career in the music industry was set from an early age. And it was only a matter of time before Stephan would fall in love with electronic music. Composing music for several prestigious European theatres was the ﬁrst successful platform for his music. At the same time, he discovered his passion for club sounds and increased his efforts in this area. His mindblowing talent was soon discovered and producers such as <b>Oliver Huntemann,</b> Thomas Schumacher and <b>Marc Romboy </b>queued up to work with Stephan. Due to the quality of his impressive music he has reached the top of the international techno scene. Most recently he has remixed songs for well-known bands such as Depeche Mode, Booka Shade and The Knife. His releases can be found on labels such as Get Physical, Datapunk, Gigolo, Systematic and Giant Wheel.</div>

“Throughout my releases and all my collaborations I managed to let my ideas ﬂow freely and to develop my own style” Stephan explains. “I understood that my personal deﬁnition of good and bad music is very dynamic and that’s why intuition is so important in this business”. He describes himself as a “melody man” - “after all it’s the melodies that endure”. The responses to his productions seem to conﬁrm this: his sounds are greatly loved in clubs worldwide. DJ Hell himself has dubbed Stephan’s tunes as the groundbreaking “Bremen sound”.</div>

It was a logical move to create his own label called “<b>Herzblut</b>” in 2006. As part of the label-conglomerate Plantage 13, he has found the ideal creative framework for his works. His solos productions have done nothing but raise his worldwide proﬁle even more and he now has the freedom of an individual artist with a worldwide audience. “This was a massive step forward”, he explains, “I produce music to share it, and I can experience this great feeling in each of my gigs”. On top of that Stephan has created a phenomenal live set that will exclusively be performed on his “Liebe ist…” tour.</div>
